Patrick Lowenthal

Patrick Lowenthal is a Professor of Educational Technology at Boise State University. Lowenthal's research interest focuses on how people communicate using emerging technologies-specifically focusing on social presence, identity, and community- in online learning contexts. 

Lowenthal earned an M.A. in the Academic Study of Religion from the University of Colorado Boulder. In addition, he earned an M.A. in Information and Learning Technologies and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Innovation from the University of Colorado Denver. 

Lowenthal serves as the co-coordinator of the Educational Technology online Ed.D. program. His duties as co-coordinator include curriculum design and development, managing student recruitment, coordinating student advising, and supporting faculty.
