Matt Miller

Author & Educational Speaker

Matt Miller began his career in education as a high school Spanish teacher and quickly realized that the way in which his students interacted with technology was related to their engagement in the classroom. He decided to work outside of the bounds of the textbook and quickly realized that he could design engaging, authentic lessons for his students by integrating technology into his lessons. His first book, Ditch that textbook, came out of this experience and serves as a guide to help other teachers in any discipline use technology to develop their own lessons to engage their students without relying on materials prepackaged by textbook companies. Mr. Miller currently hosts a podcast and travels around the country promoting the purposeful integration of technology in education at conferences and workshops. He has designed online courses and online summits to promote his work. Some of his publications include

  • Miller, M. (2015). Ditch that textbook: Free your teaching and revolutionize your classroom. Dave Burgess Consulting, Incorporated.
