Sophie Bailey

Sophie Bailey is the founder of the award winning The Edtech Podcast and WorkTripp, and a strategic content partnerships consultant (under the name ‘Tangential Brain’). Sophie is a mentor and advisor within the edtech community, and is particularly passionate about female entrepreneurship. 

The mission of The Edtech Podcast is to improve the dialogue between 'ed' and 'tech' for better innovation and impact, through storytelling. The Edtech Podcast has peak downloads of 40k each month from 147+ countries, with the UK, US & Australia the current top 3. The podcast audience consists of education leaders from around the world, plus startups, learning and development specialists, blue-chips, investors, Government and media. WorkTripp, Sophie’s new venture, is a marketplace to help high-growth companies book teams offsites. This project has inspired other women to “just go for it” and turn ideas into action.

Sophie also works as an EdTech advisor, connecting educators and industry. She has spoken previously at WomenEd & The Department for International Trade (formerly UKTI), and is currently curating two community-led panels at SxSW Edu. Sophie’s previous role was as Head of Content at Bett, the world’s largest education technology event and prior to that, Sophie enjoyed a ten-year career in tech events including at Informa Telecoms and Media (the founders of the Mobile World Congress).
