Juho Hamari

Professor of Gamification at Tampere University, Finland

Dr. Juho Hamari is a professor of gamification at Tampere University in Finland and leader of the Gamification Group.

Hamari holds a Master of Philosophy in Information Systems and a Ph.D. in Economics. He was given the titles "Information Systems Scholar of the Year" by the Finnish Society for Computer Science and "Emerging Virtual Scholar" by the American Educational Research Association (AERA).

Hamari has worked as a consultant for a number of different companies, advising them on game design, marketing, behavioral economics, and gamification.
