Jan Herrington

Dr. Herrington is a Professor of Education at Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia where she has worked tirelessly to promote and support the effective use of educational technology in secondary and post-secondary schools. She is currently Chair of the Executive Committee of the EdMedia World Conference on Educational Media and Technology. Her current research focus is authentic learning and mobile learning. Dr. Herrington has co-authored two books; “Authentic Learning Environments in Higher Education”, and “A Guide to Authentic e-Learning”. The latter earned her the Association for Educational Communication and Technology (AECT) outstanding book of the year in 2010.
