Bernie Dodge, Ph. D. Instructional Design and Development
Bernie Dodge has been a prominent innovator in educational technology throughout his career spanning over 50 years. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic University in 1970, followed by a Ph.D. in Instructional Design & Development from Syracuse University. He recently retired from being a professor of Educational Technology at San Diego State University.
Dodge boasts extensive experience as a keynote speaker, having presented in 19 countries and 41 U.S. states. His areas of interests include educational simulation and game design, e-learning, augmented and virtual reality, as well as knowledge management. He is credited with the development of several noteworthy EdTech tools, including Grab-A-Cab and Quations, PLANalyst, the WebQuest model, and QuestGarden.
