George Siemens
Professor of Practice at the University of Texas at Arlington
George Siemens was raised in a Mennonite home with no connection to technology and external media. However, this did not impede Siemens' future technological contributions as Siemens later advanced the theory of Connectivism and contributed early on to Massive Open Online Courses. Currently, Siemens is a professor in the learning analytics program at the University of Texas at Arlington. Siemens teaches courses in Experimental Design and Research Methodology, Human and Artificial Cognition, and Psychology of Learning Sciences.
