Eric Klopfer

Eric Klopfer is Professor and Director of the Scheller Teacher Education Program and The Education Arcade at MIT. He is also the co-faculty director for the J-WEL World Education Lab at MIT. His research spans the entire educational technology ecosystem, but Dr. Klopfer has recently focused on researching and building computer games and simulations for teaching STEM subjects. He has also studied new technologies such as VR, AR, and mobile, and how they can be applied to education today. He has co-authored books, produced software and games, as well as taught online courses on platforms such as EdX.
