Roger Schank

(1946 - 2023)
Dr. Schank, Ph.D. was an AI expert and a researching professor turned businessman. He founded Socratic Arts, a company that produces story-based learning to schools and corporations. He introduced a story-centric master's degree program at Carnegie Mellon's West Coast Campus. He also worked at Yale, Stanford, Northwestern, as well as University of Paris and Institute for Semantics and Cognition in Switzerland. His extensive research and contribution to the computer sciences has impacted Educational Technology in a very real way.
