Yasmin Kafai

Yasmin Kafai is the current president of the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania since 2008. She has a long list of publications in the field of computer programming, interactive media, and game studies. She is a research pioneer for EdTech and has even helped with several national level research efforts for the US Department of Education.

Another one of her famous accomplishments is working with MIT to help develop the popular programming tool called Scratch. Her current research focuses on online play and the need for a more constructionist approach to teaching about games.
