As the resident Mad Scientist at the Thiagi Group, Thiagarajan and his organization aim to help people accomplish more through interactive strategies for improving performance. He is Internationally recognized as an expert in human performance technology. His specialties include training design, online learning, virtual classroom, web-based games, workshops, training games and simulations design, facilitation. He is also a game designer, and writer. He has authored 40 books and hundreds of professional articles. He has designed 220 popular training games and simulations. He publishes a monthly newsletter on creative learning activities, facilitation, and training.
Thiagarajan has been elected the president of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI), in 1979 and 2006. He has also been the five-time president of the North American Simulation and Gaming Associating (NASAGA).
