Monica Burns is a curriculum and EdTech consultant as well as the founder of ClassTechTips.com. Her blog and podcast Easy Edtech Podcast launched in 2012 with the goal of supporting educators interested in effective implementation of classroom technology by focusing on “tasks before apps”, which emphasizes the pedagogy and outcome over the technology tool. She started her career as a classroom educator within NYC Public schools and currently speaks to administrators and teachers across the country by leading workshops and keynotes to teachers, instructional coaches and administrators. Monica received her Doctorate of Education from Lamarr University in 2016. She has presented numerous times at national and international conferences such as SXSW EDU, ISTE, FETC and more. She has authored titles focusing on the effective use of technology such as Tasks Before Apps as well as ASCD quick reference guides and countless blogs. Monica is very active on social media providing advice and tips the empower educators with all sorts of educational technology experience to assist in bettering their technology practices into teaching and learning.
