Rob Branch

Professor of Learning, Design and Technology

Rob Branch is Professor of Learning, Design, and Technology at the University of Georgia. Before teaching here, he taught at Syracuse University in the Department of Instructional Design, Development, adn Evaluation. In addition, he founded a Master's program in educational technology at a university in South Africa. He received an Ed.D from Virginia Tech in 1989. His expertise and research interests include instructional design, particularly models of conceptualization. Notably, he has specific expertise in the ADDIE framework. He has co-edited the Educational Media and Technology Yearbook, annually since 1997, and has published on the topic of instructional design. Finally, he served as president of AECT from 2014-2015.  Some of his published work includes:
