Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education

AACE is an international non-profit organization founded in 1981 to support the research, development, and application of technology in education. This organization offers many resources including international conferences, digital resource library, annual awards, and quarterly journals. 

The Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) is a global association of educators and instructional designers who advise policymakers in advancing teaching and learning through technology. The diverse membership provides leadership and work in academia, industry, the military, libraries, museums, and healthcare. AECT is the premier organization for instructional design, fostering international collaboration and idea sharing.

Educause is a nonprofit association that advances higher education through information technology.  Educause supports with knowledge and resources to support strategic IT decisions in higher education. 

Instructional Technology Council

The Instructional Technology Council, now a separate nonprofit, was initially formed as a task force of the American Association of Community Colleges. ITC provides resources, research, and inspiration to various organizations offering distance education courses. Members of ITC include community colleges, technical institutes, four-year institutions, and nonprofit organizations.

The International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) provides accessibility professionals with professional training, certification, and networking opportunities. IAAP's mission is to enhance professional expertise and to aid organizations in building inclusive and accessible digital content, environments, and services sustainably. IAAP is a division of the Global Initiative for Inclusive ICTs.

United States Distance Learning Association

The United States Distance Learning Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting distance learning resources and development in the United States. USDLA covers a wide variety of learning communities beyond just K-12 and higher education, and the nonprofit also supports corporate, military, and government training, as well as homeschooling and telehealth.
