Sherry Turkle

Professor of the Social Studies of Science and Technology

Sherry Turkle is a Professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the Program in Science, Technology, and Society. Turkle graduated from Harvard University with a joint doctorate in sociology and personality psychology. She is also a licensed psychologist and founded the Initiative on Technology and Self at MIT. Turkle's work focuses on people's relationships with technology.

Turkle has received numerous awards, served as a media commentator for multiple broadcast stations, and has been profiled in The New York Times and Wired. She has authored 11 books and numerous articles. Some of her most famous works include:
