Lillian Nave
Senior Lecturer, Appalachian State University and Host of ThinkUDL Podcast
Lillian Nave is a Senior Lecturer and the Universal Design for Learning Coordinator at Appalachian State University. Nave has won teaching awards like the Faculty Award for Excellence in General Education Teaching (Non-Tenure Track) in 2017 and the Rennie W. Brantz Award for Outstanding Teaching in 2019. As the UDL Coordinator, Nave provides faculty workshops, hosts Course Redesign Institutes, and partners with the Intercultural Teaching and Learning Fellows and Inclusive Excellence Team. She is a highly regarded guest speaker, sharing UDL concepts and best practices at international conferences and universities. She is also the host of the ThinkUDL Podcast, where she interviews colleagues and practitioners in the field about their thoughts, ideas, and practices of UDL implementation. Nave has a Master's in Art History and a Bachelor's in Art History and Religion.
