William Cope
Professor of Education Policy, Organization and Leadership
Bill Cope is a Research Professor in the Department of Education Policy, Organization and Leadership at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He earned his Ph.D from Macquarie University in Australia in 1987. He is currently chair of the eLearning and Innovative Pedagogies Research Network and was involved in the creation of CG Scholar, a social knowledge ecosystem for learning managment. He also has created a Coursera course titled: Ubiquitous Learning and Instructional Technologies. As a researcher, he explores the pedagogical affordances of technology. His interests include the fields of semiotics, literacy, pedagogy, and educational technologies (including AI). He has published extensively on these topic. Some of his works include:
