Brett Shelton

Professor

Dr. Brett Shelton is a professor in the department of Educational Technology and the College of Innovation and Design at Boise State University. Shelton completed his PhD in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Washington. His research interests include game-based learning, the use of augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) learning environments, esports, and online learning. Shelton is also the co-founder of Boise State University's Varsity Esports Team. One of his most recent articles investigates the relationships between video games, education, and educational policy in Korea. Dr. Shelton holds U.S. a patent for his work "Systems and Methods for Simulation and Regeneration of a Virtual Environment."
